Beat the Heat at the Pool
There’s nothing better than jumping into a cool, refreshing pool on a hot day. Swimming is not only a fun summer activity but also great exercise for the whole family. The Columbia Association Aquatics Team has all 23 pools open! CA’s aquatic facilities provide year-round pools for recreational swimming and laps, swimming lessons for all ages and abilities, aqua fitness classes, and competitive swim leagues (Columbia Clippers, Columbia Masters, and our summer swim league). You can even rejuvenate in our warm water therapy pool. All CA Play memberships include access to outdoor pools during the summer and the Columbia Swim Center’s indoor pools to keep you splashing, sliding, and swimming all year long. Try Some Delicious Food
Columbia has some excellent restaurants and food halls featuring various cuisines to suit every taste. The Food Market in Downtown Columbia has expanded to include a 140-seat outdoor addition named Vacation. Vacation offers casual dining with a menu different from its restaurant at 10480 Little Patuxent Parkway. They seat guests on a first come, first served basis.
