Mommy & Me Floral Bouquets

Get ready for a fun-filled afternoon of seasonal floral creativity with two talented florists! On Saturday, May 11th, at Cafe Columbia, Suzanne from Red Chimney Flower Farm and Nana from Enchanted Flower Farm will be leading the workshop, guiding you and your little one through the art of creating beautiful bouquets, perfect gift for Mother’s Day! Activities Include:

  • Hands-on flower arranging
  • Creative bonding time for parent and child
  • A delicious selection of crepes for both adults and kids
  • Refreshing drinks to keep you hydrated and energized
  • Direct interaction with women flower farmers

Dads are welcome to join and participate in creating a memorable gift for their wives or moms!

The workshop fee is $65.00 and includes flowers, vases, food, and drinks!

Books in Bloom

If your mom or a special woman in your life loves to read, this is the perfect event for her. Known as the region’s most progressive literary and arts event, Books in Bloom focuses on the power of books to reveal, heal, and inspire despite differences in age, race, religion, ethnicity, and gender. Books in Bloom is hosted by the Downtown Columbia Partnership (DTCP) and Howard Hughes Holdings. This event is free and open to the public. RSVP here.

Family Yoga

Is your mom interested in fitness and wellness? Does she love taking family walks? If so, she might love Family Yoga with Anura at Cafe Columbia on May 17th. Here, kids and parents can try engaging yoga poses and movements together. There will be energizing and calming music to help you move around. In addition to yoga, participants will hear mindfulness stories to help de-stress and relax.

This event is open to 3 – 7 year olds and their parents/guardians. No prior experience is necessary; just come with an open heart and a willingness to have fun! Bring a yoga or exercise mat, comfortable clothes, and a water bottle. Payment and registration is completed through PayPal or Venmo to [email protected]. Individuals, $12; Families of 2, $22; and Families of 3 or more, $45.
