Memorial Day weekend ushers in the beginning of summer, and what a great summer it will be in Columbia! The kids will be out of school soon, so it’s time to start planning some fun activities for the whole family. BikeAround Columbia
The 2024 BikeAround Downtown Columbia is set for the coming weekend. It will start with a Block Party on Saturday, June 1, in the Merriweather District from 9 to 12, where the Howard County Office of Transportation and Bike HoCo will share information to make cycling a better part of your transportation, recreation, and fitness routine. The six-mile course will be open and marked from Saturday, June 1, at 9 a.m. until Sunday, June 2, at 6 p.m. Visit their website to register.
Dine & Delight
Dine & Delight is back in Columbia! Enjoy the dining experience you deserve and get rewarded! Dine at participating restaurants like Chicken & Whiskey, Dat Jerk, Famous Bennie’s, and more to receive a $25 reward through Venmo when you spend $75 or more!

Lakefest Free Weekend
The Columbia Festival returns to the Downtown Columbia Lakefront with its FREE LakeFest Weekend from June 14th to the 16th. This event features three days of live music, an invitational fine arts & crafts show, kids’ entertainment and crafts, a variety of activities for all ages, and fabulous festival food fare. Bring the whole family for a fun-filled weekend celebrating arts, music, and culture!
Historic Oakland Summer Craft Fair
Do you love to craft? Do you sell your creations online or at markets? If so, you must become a vendor at the Summer Craft Fair hosted by Historic Oakland! This is the perfect platform to showcase your talents and unique crafts. The fair will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The venue will provide a 6′ table and a banquet chair. You must provide your own tablecloth. The Oakland Coordinator will assign the vendor booth location. Vendors will be spread out between the house and the tent. If you have any physical restrictions that would prohibit you from being on the second floor, please let us know prior to your registration by emailing [email protected].
