We are finally free of the sweltering summer heat. Now, the cool breeze of fall has ushered in a new season full of joy and excitement. The fun in Columbia doesn’t stop just because summer is over. There are so many fun things to do and events to attend around town this fall. Specifically, we have some music and food festivals coming up that are sure to be fun for the whole family. Here are some music and food events happening this fall in Columbia.
Concerts at The Collective
This weekend, September 20th and 21st, The Collective – Encore is hosting two fun live music events. On Friday the 20th, The Collective is hosting a local artist spotlight to highlight the amazing talents of two Columbia musicians: Madisun Bailey and Luke Borchelt. Spend an evening with these two talented artists shaking up the local scene! Tickets are only $10! Get yours here.
Then, on Saturday the 21st, come to The Collective to hear two world-class Nola bands share a night of unforgettable music. From the deep roots tag team of Cajun slide guitar phenom Sonny Landreth and legendary New Orleans Latin-Americana rockers, the Iguanas comes a mind-blowing musical trip through the scenic soundscape of the bayou. Still wet from crawling out of the swamps, this cross-pollinated confection will be both savory and sweet. Louisiana’s calling—here’s your chance to answer. Purchase tickets for this event here.

From September 13th through the 22nd, restaurants around Maryland will be participating in Maryland Restaurant Week. Participating restaurants may offer special menus, discounts, or seasonal fare for dine-in, curbside, or carryout.
This week’s featured restaurant is the Collective Offshore. They will be offering a 2-course lunch menu for $22 and a 3-course dinner menu for $45. This menu includes their famous seafood, fresh vegetables, and delicious desserts. Check out their website for more participating restaurants.
