Office of Aging Special Program
If you want to learn more about aging in place, sign up for an informative and engaging event at Historic Oakland Manor on January 30 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. The Howard County Office on Aging is hosting this in-person presentation, where you can learn about important topics that impact older adults, caregivers & people with disabilities within our community. The discussion will include:
- Aging in place.
- Senior activities and networking.
- 8 Domains of Livability.
- Review county resources.
- Q&A session.
- Resource Guides will be available.

Valentine’s Day Jazz Concert
Love and music are in the air! Treat yourself and your loved ones to an evening of jazz melodies and soulful serenades that showcases the talents of St. Louis’ own Erin Wegner Brooks, Montel Butler, and Isaiah Shim at this year’s Valentine’s Day Jazz Cabaret on February 9, 2024, at 7:00 pm in the Social Hall. This program also marks the first offering of the St. Louis Church Concert Series jazz cabaret series. Tickets are $25 before January 20, and $30 after January 20. Historic Oakland Wedding Expo
Historic Oakland Manor is hosting its 2024 Weddings & Events Showcase on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Tickets are $5.00 in advance through Eventbrite or $7.00 at the door (cash only). The annual Wedding & Events showcase is a fantastic opportunity to explore Historic Oakland and connect with some of Maryland’s top-notch event professionals. The vendors are here to turn the wedding of your dreams into reality!
The manor and tented patio will be full of over 60 vendors, including caterers, photographers, florists, makeup artists, event planners,DJ’s, decorators, hotels, rental experts, and attire specialists—everything you need all in one place!
Guests can indulge in delectable gourmet food, cake tastings, exciting giveaways, and an all-around good time. Let’s make your special day even more extraordinary!
