Here are some December events you can look forward to.
The holidays are around the corner, which means it’s officially winter! The days are getting shorter, the temperatures are dropping, and soon we might see snow! Columbia Town Center is excited to unite the community for the holidays and bring everyone together for some festive fun. Many holiday events are happening this month in Columbia Town Center and throughout Howard County. Here are some December events you can look forward to.
Cookies with Santa
Come enjoy crafts, cookie decorating and a photo with Santa at Amherst House on Saturday, December 7 from 2-4pm. This event is $6 per person for CA residents and $6.50 for non-CA residents. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available at Amherst House. Click here to learn more.
Festive Fridays
Festive Friday Family Fun Returns to the Downtown Columbia Lakefront! Watch ice sculptures, capture a memory at the holiday-themed photobooth, listen to the live choral music and enjoy arts and activities at the craft tent. Entry is free, with snacks, drinks and S’mores kits available for purchase. Now in our 10th year, Festive Fridays are a tradition of the Downtown Columbia holiday season.
Festivities are held Friday, December 6 and Friday, December 13 from 5:30-8pm. A third Festive Friday event on Friday, December 20 for ages 21+ will feature a cocktail crawl with food and drinks from several local restaurants. Click here for more info.
Lunch with Santa
All ages are welcome to enjoy a lunch with Santa at Amherst house on Saturday, December 14 from 11:30am to 1:30pm. Tickets are $7, $7.50 for non-CA residents, and includes a craft, pizza lunch, cookie decorating and a photo with Santa. Click here for more.
Christmas at St. Louis
Gather your family and friends for one of the most festive and beloved musical holiday traditions in Clarksville on December 15 at 4 p.m. Grammy-award winning soloist Tynan Davis joins St. Louis choral and orchestral ensembles in this resounding program of traditional carols, sacred music, and favorite seasonal melodies. Howard County Holiday Lights Display
Howard County has launched “HoCo Holiday Lights,” a new online map for residents and visitors to locate residential and commercial holiday light displays. The listing includes an address, photos, display description, display dates and hours, and any special instructions. The website is updated as more residents and owners register their homes and businesses. If you want to show off your holiday lights, be sure to register as early as possible.
